Agreement to Terms

By registering for the Unchained Permanent Jewelry Retreat and submitting a deposit, installment payment, or payment in full, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

What's Not Included

Unless specifically stated otherwise, retreat registration does not include:

  • Flights or airfare
  • Alcohol
  • Additional excursions or activities outside the scheduled retreat itinerary
  • Personal purchases or incidental expenses
  • Additional meals, drinks, services, or activities not included in the retreat itinerary
  • Passport, visa, or other travel-document expenses
  • Travel insurance
  • Transportation outside of the designated airport transfers described below

Travel, Arrival and Airport Transportation

Attendees are responsible for booking and paying for their own air travel to and from Costa Rica.

Attendees must arrive in Costa Rica on April 12, 2027 in time to arrive at the retreat resort no later than 6:00 PM local time.

The retreat will provide transportation from the designated airport to the retreat resort on April 12 and from the retreat resort back to the designated airport on April 15, during the transportation windows communicated to attendees.

Attendees are responsible for transportation and related expenses resulting from missed flights, delays, arriving outside the designated transportation window, arriving at a different airport, extending their stay, or otherwise being unable to use the retreat-provided transportation.
Attendees are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport and satisfy all entry, exit, visa, vaccination, or other travel requirements applicable to travel to Costa Rica.

Accomodations & Share Rooms
Room selection is subject to availability. *We are not pairing roommates for the 2027 retreat.* If you select a shared room, you are responsible for having a roommate. If you would like a shared room but do not currently have a roommate, you may contact us. If another attendee is actively seeking a roommate, we may connect you with that person. *We cannot guarantee that a roommate will be available or that a match will be made.* If you do not have a roommate, you must select an available single-room option. Room locations, layouts, and views may vary and cannot be guaranteed unless specifically included in the room option purchased.

Payments, Cancellations & Transfers
All retreat payments, including deposits, installment payments, and payments in full, are non-refundable.
The remaining balance of your registration must be paid according to the payment schedule provided at registration. Failure to make required payments by the applicable due date may result in forfeiture of your reservation, room, and amounts previously paid. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another eligible participant provided the transfer is requested at least 30 days before the retreat begins and is approved by the retreat organizers. The replacement participant must agree to these Terms & Conditions and complete all required registration documents. Any financial arrangements between the original attendee and replacement attendee are solely the responsibility of those individuals.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance isstrongly recommended. Attendees are encouraged to purchase coverage that includes trip cancellation or interruption, medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed luggage, flight delays, and other unforeseen circumstances. The retreat organizers are not responsible for losses resulting from canceled or delayed flights, illness, weather, missed connections, travel interruptions, or other circumstances affecting an attendee's ability to attend.

Health and Safety Policy

Attendees are responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically able to participate in retreat activities. Retreat activities and accommodations may involve walking, stairs, uneven surfaces, transportation, excursions, or other physical activity.
Attendees should notify the retreat organizers in advance of accessibility needs or requested accommodations.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist but cannot guarantee that every request can be accommodated. Participation in retreat activities is voluntary

Dietary Restrictions
Any dietary restrictions or food allergies must be submitted to
[email protected] at least 30 days before arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate dietary needs to the appropriate providers but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Personal Property
Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout the retreat. The retreat organizers and Released Parties identified below are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal property.


Activities & Excursions
The retreat may include scheduled activities, transportation, excursions, classes, or experiences. Participation is voluntary and may involve inherent risks. Any activities or excursions independently arranged by an attendee and not included in the official retreat itinerary are undertaken entirely at the attendee's own risk and expense.

Assumption of Risk, Release & Hold Harmless Agreement
By registering for and participating in the Unchained Permanent Jewelry Retreat, attendees acknowledge and voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with international travel, accommodations, transportation, excursions, recreational activities, food and beverage consumption, and participation in retreat activities. These risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, illness, accidents, falls, transportation incidents, adverse weather, natural events, theft, loss or damage to personal property, and other risks associated with international travel and retreat activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, attendees agree to release, waive, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Unchained Society Inc., Infinity Metals International, Shari Tammietti, Lyndi Love-Haning, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in the retreat, travel associated with the retreat, retreat activities, transportation, accommodations, excursions, personal injury, illness, death, theft, or property damage, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived or limited.

Attendees understand that third-party resorts, transportation providers, excursion operators, guides, restaurants, and other vendors may provide services during the retreat and may have their own terms, waivers, and requirements. Attendees may also be required to sign separate waivers before participating in certain activities or excursions.

Travel Safety
Attendees are responsible for exercising reasonable caution while traveling to and within Costa Rica and for complying with local laws. Attendees are encouraged to review current travel advisories and entry requirements issued by the U.S. Department of State and other appropriate government authorities before departure. The Released Parties are not responsible for incidents occurring during an attendee's independent travel, activities, or transportation outside of retreat-provided programming.

Photography and Media Policy

Photography and video recording will take place during the retreat. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed and to the use of your image, likeness, and appearance in content related to Unchained, including marketing, promotional materials, social media, websites, and educational content.
If you prefer not to appear in promotional photography or video, you must notify us in writing before the retreat so reasonable efforts can be made to accommodate your request.

Force Majeure

The retreat organizers are not responsible for delays, modifications, interruptions, postponements, relocations, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, fires, government actions or restrictions, civil unrest, epidemics or pandemics, transportation disruptions, venue closures, or other extraordinary circumstances. If a force majeure event requires the retreat to be canceled, postponed, relocated, or materially modified, the organizers may apply amounts paid toward a rescheduled or future retreat.

Refunds are not guaranteed for cancellations, postponements, or changes resulting from force majeure events.

Attendees are responsible for protecting their travel investment through appropriate travel insurance.

Cancellation Policy

Non-Refundable Policy: All payments made for the retreat, including deposits and full payments, are non-refundable.

Transfer of Spot: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another participant, provided this is done no less than 30 days before the start of the retreat. The new participant must comply with all retreat policies

Changes to Itinerary 

The retreat itinerary, activities, instructors, excursions, meals, transportation arrangements, and other details are subject to reasonable change due to weather, availability, safety considerations, vendor changes, or circumstances outside the organizers' control. Changes to individual activities or itinerary details do not constitute cancellation of the retreat and do not entitle attendees to a refund. 

Code of Conduct

Attendees are expected to treat other participants, retreat organizers, resort staff, vendors, instructors, transportation providers, and service providers with respect and professionalism. Harassment, threatening behavior, illegal activity, excessive disruption, or conduct that negatively affects the safety or experience of other attendees may result in removal from the retreat *without refund*. Attendees are responsible for complying with Costa Rican laws and the policies of the resort and third-party activity providers.

Final Agreement to Terms

By completing registration and submitting payment, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • Understand that all retreat payments are non-refundable except where otherwise required by law.
  • Understand your responsibility for airfare, travel documentation, and arriving at the resort by the required time.
  • Understand the limitations of the retreat-provided airport transportation.
  • Understand and accept the cancellation and transfer policies.
  • Voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with international travel and participation in retreat activities.
  • Agree to the Release and Hold Harmless provisions above.
  • Agree to comply with the retreat's Code of Conduct and other policies.

    By submitting payment and completing your registration, you acknowledge that your registration constitutes your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
